What are the rules of kabaddi?
- Kabaddi has many different rules because of the variety of ways it is played. Its basic rules are given below. This game is based on contact so the main object has to go in the court of the opponent and they have to touch them and after that, he can come to court.
- The Match time duration is 40 minutes and this time the raid will go to the opposing team and the player who raids is known as the raider. It starts when the raider goes to the opponent team.
- The opponent team is called a defender and the maximum time of raid is 30 sec. in this time raider has to rut kabaddi, like a chant. There are two ways that a raider can enter the defender’s court so the first one is a bonus point and the other one is a touchpoint. These are the rules of national-level kabaddi. If we talk about the international rules then if the team beat the opponent with the margin he will get points like 7 in a match and if the team won then they will get 5 league points.
- If the margin of winning is 7 or less then from seven they received 5 points and the losing team will get 1 point. So rules are different for national and international levels.
